As a child, my days were filled with the laughter and companionship of the countless furry friends I encountered in my neighbourhood. Growing up in a community where stray cats and dogs roamed freely, my heart was drawn to these four-legged souls seeking warmth and kindness.
From an early age, I developed a profound connection with animals, and it wasn't long before my small hands were scooping kibble into makeshift bowls for the hungry stray cats that found solace near our home. Each evening, I'd eagerly wait for the soft patter of paws as they approached, their eyes reflecting both caution and trust.
Feeding them became a routine, but it wasn't merely about offering sustenance. It was about creating a haven for these homeless creatures, a place where they could find a momentary respite from the challenges of life on the streets. As I poured the food into their bowls, I couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility and joy, knowing that I was making a small difference in their lives.
